Forest Nook Lodge can be found in a prime location nestled between the villages of Kippford and Rockcliffe on the Solway Firth. Looking down on to the mouth of the River Urr and the mountains beyond, the estuary flows out to sea at the nearby harbour village of Kippford .

The pretty little village of Kippford with its whitewashed houses lining the waterside, offers local amenities, boasting a Yacht Club, two lovely pubs, craft shop, grocery store and Chandlery. As the road meets the sea at the end of the village a winding pathway leads you to 2 shell and pebble beaches with stunning views across the bay. A charming location to spend both day and evenings during your perfect holiday break at Forest Nook Lodge.

A short distance up the coast lies the charming village of Rockcliffe , a distinctive crescent shaped beach lined with delightful cottages and houses. A tearoom offers well earned refreshments following a day exploring the rockpools or walking the beautiful coastal paths. The stunning views over the estuary include three islands, one which can be accessed at low tide by a causeway and another complete with its own lighthouse and wild life, perfect for discovering the natural beauty of the Solway Coast .

Located on the South West coast of Scotland, one hour west of the M74/M6 provides easy access from North and South, for directions by road click on the links below, accessing Forest Nook Lodge via Kippford Holiday Park and following the road through the park and up the hillside to Alpine Meadow, we are located on the right hand side at the top of the hill.
